The Hayward Powerline PL 81069 filter group is a monoblock system for above-ground and in-ground pools that combines pump and sand filter on a single base. A compact solution for water circulation and filtration, with matched components and a top-mounted selector valve.

Indicative sizing: for pools up to around 20 m³ (20,000 liters), considering a theoretical 4-hour turnover at the nominal flow rate. Suitability must be verified based on piping, distance and height difference relative to the pool and connected equipment, which can reduce actual flow.

This version provides a nominal flow rate of 5 m³/h and pairs a 0.25 HP pump with a 350 mm diameter filter, with a planned charge of 25 kg of filter sand.

Sand is not included and must be purchased separately.

Sand filtration and integrated prefilter

The pump directs water into the filter, where the sand bed traps suspended impurities before returning to the pool. The 1.1-liter prefilter intercepts larger debris and helps protect the pump.

The clear quick-open lid lets you check the basket and makes routine cleaning easier.

Multiport valve and maintenance

The VARI-FLO™ valve lets you select filter, backwash, rinse, waste, recirculate and closed functions. A neutral position is also available for winterizing.

The pressure gauge allows you to monitor filter pressure, while the sight glass lets you observe the water during backwash. Always switch off the pump before changing the valve position.

Materials and water treatment compatibility

The filter tank is made of high-density blow-molded polyethylene. The pump uses a reinforced injected resin structure, resistant to corrosion.

The unit is compatible with salt chlorination, provided the manufacturer’s operating conditions and water parameters are respected.

Dimensions, connections and installation

Pump and filter are mounted on a common base. Connections are 1½" with fittings for 38 mm hoses. Before purchase, check compatibility with the pool piping and any required adapters.

For installations on above-ground or in-ground pools, check the position of the unit relative to the water level and follow the manufacturer’s installation guidelines. Allow enough space to access the prefilter, valve and tank.
